The Plough at Eaton has a long history going back to the 1600s when it was built as a coaching inn. In those days, the beer used to be brought up from the cellar in large jugs, and served to travellers in the lamp-lit bar and cosy snug.

The Inn has been modernised in recent years, but the oak beams, small alcoves and blazing open fires are still in place, which make this a cosy intimate place for a quiet drink or a meal.

Food is also served in the Old Barn Restaurant, which is full of character with its gallery and wealth of exposed timbers. Although it looks as if it has always been here, The Barn is originally from Wales where it watched over the Welsh Hills for more than 300 years.

Our award-winning restaurant serves fresh food created by the experienced team of chefs every day. In 1985 the Barn converted into 8 en-suite rooms by top London designer (Michael Priest) of Belgravia - and further 9 rooms have recently been completed, all offering sumptuous comfort.
