Our historic inn is located in an attractive part of rural Cheshire overlooking the Peak District. The Peak National Park and the spa town of Buxton are an hour’s drive away. Within half an hour’s drive (or a quick bus ride) away are Macclesfield, Congleton and Sandbach town centres. Offering luxury accommodation, it is a good venue for a romantic weekend away.

Popular menu specials, which change regularly, are served in both the Old Barn and the pub area. It includes traditional favourites such as fish and chips and steak and chips plus imaginative, original dishes created by our experienced team of chefs.

Just off the A536 (Macclesfield Road), we are close to M6 motorway (exit at Junction 17 near Sandbach). The nearest railway stations are Congleton and Macclesfield with the latter offering frequent services to London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly stations. The 38 bus also stops outside The Plough Inn with hourly services to Macclesfield, Congleton, Sandbach and Crewe.
